According to recent banner placement studies banner ads placed to the right of pages near the right scroll bar generated a 228% higher click-through rate than ads placed in other areas of web pages. The study also shows banner ads placed towards (or near) the bottom generated a 77% higher click-through rate. Studies indicate that visitors will click on a banner while and/or after skimming through page content.
