huli huli Huli Huli Chicken
Hawaiian Local Style Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
  • Whole chicken cut in 1/2 or 1/4
  • 1/2 cup shoyu
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 or 2 bay leaf pieces
  • sprinkle of salt (to taste, optional)
  • 1 or 2 drops oyster sauce (to taste)
Directions Mix all ingredients (except chicken) to make sauce.

Marinate chicken in sauce (the longer, the better).

Grill/Rotisserie over charcoal or favorite cooking wood.
