Did You Know...

There are three royal palaces in the United States, all are located in the Hawaiian Islands. The Hulihe'e Palace is located on Ali'i Drive in historic Kailua-Kona. Originally used as a vacation home of Hawaiian royalty, it is now a museum showcasing furniture and artifacts. Located in the Nu'uanu Valley, near the Pali Lookout sits the Queen Emma Summer Palace. Visited by Hawaiian chiefs and royalty it is a now a historic landmark museum. The best known royal palace is 'Iolani Palace located in downtown Honolulu. 'Iolani Palace is the only royal palace used as an official residence by a reigning monarch, King David Kalakaua and Queen Lili'uokalani.
