Big Island Boba; Home of the local style shaved ice
Pu'ukani & Island Emory hangs out and talks story with John Sasaki, owner of Big Island Boba in Las Vegas (Henderson). John, along with wife Candy Sasaki envisioned a one-stop shop which offered everything from local style plate lunches to island style desserts and shaved ice.
A truly amazing place that takes you back home to Hawaii with Hawaiian music in the background, friendly service and Aloha Spirit which shines brightly.
At Big Island Boba you can get poi mochi balls, malasadas, "north shore" style shave ice, 100% kona coffee, spam musubi, plate lunches, bento boxes (shoyu chicken, kal-bi, teri beef, kalua pig & cabbage, and many more), boba drinks, and many many local desserts... oh, did we mention the really SUPAH BIG shaved ice!
Eh, today is Aug 1 and I just met your mom and dad and Uncle Bruce's house in Hilo. Your parents went to a "Formal" wedding at the Hilo Yacht Club. Your dad looks sharp in a tie. Anyways, my kids Chris and Sierra both live off of Blue Diamond and Decatur. Cuz Steven (Stephen) knows Chris. I'll tell them about your place. Hope to be there soon to experience Kona Style Grinds. Tony Ganir. So much for COMMENTS111
