Las Vegas Pure Aloha Fall Festival & Concerts from the Cannery Casino & Hotel
Video clip collaboration and highlights of the 2nd Annual Pure Aloha Fall Festival & Concerts which took place October 12, 13, 14, 2007 at the Cannery Casino & Hotel. Pure Aloha is brought to you by Vizzun Entertainment Inc. and Pure Aloha Clothing Company.
The Las Vegas island style 3 day event kicked off Friday night with an energy packed concert featuring Fiji, Bonafide, Rushouze Allstars, & Cool Progression. Concert emcee's for the night were Bu La'ia & Mr Tripp. The Fijian Warriors were the highlight of the night as they chanted & danced during Fiji's opening song.
Saturday & Sunday daytime agenda featured first class entertainment with the 9th Island of Las Vegas' best Hula halaus & Tahitian troupes which included Merry Monarch participant Nani Ola Hawaiian Dance Company, Hula Halau O Kaleo Okalani, Ninth Island Productions, Tevakanui, Teata Ura, & Keiki O Mokiao. Also on the entertainment card, an all-star lineup of Hawaiian musicians & bands with live music featured Las Vegas' own Hawaiian Soul, Hawaiian Cowboy Danny Estocado and the Hawaii Legend Ukulele Serenaders of Las Vegas. "Johnny O" kept the audience occupied between performances.
The cultural booth featured hands-on demonstrations with Hawaiiana, hula expo, T-Leaf, lei making, basket weaving and Hawaiian story telling.
The midway section of the Pure Aloha event featured an abundant array of merchant vendors. From Hawaiian & Polynesian arts & crafts, to apparel & goods shoppers browsed and shopped until content. Hawaiian, Samoan, Korean, Filipino, Japanese, American, Chinese and "Local" plate lunches could be found at the food booth & dining section. Nearly all of Polynesia and the Pacific Islands food were represented.
Longtime Las Vegas Island style band Liquid Roots got the crowd groovin' & skankin' at the Saturday night concert. Also featured were up & coming band Next Generation (Next G) along with Hawaii music legends The Mana'o Company. Hilo's own Mr Tripp along with Da Hawaiian Bu La'ia were on-hand to emcee the concert.
