Aunty Genoa Keawe

Hawaiian music legend Aunty Genoa Keawe died in her sleep at her Papakolea home early Monday morning around the 1:00am hour. She was 89 years old.

"Aunty Genoa lived a full life and is very happy with all the blessings of family and her self-taught career as an entertainer and businesswoman," her family said in a prepared statement.

Aunty Genoa Keawe's famed falsetto voice will forever be remembered and heard for years to come.
