Forbes Magazine listed eBay Inc. founder and Honolulu resident Pierre Omidyar as the 54th wealthiest person in the United States with a value of $6.3 billion.

Aside from eBay, Omidyar is a large shareholder in Maui Land & Pineapple Co. and serves on the  Punahou School's board of trustees where he attended the 7th & 8th grade.
