Honu Mourns Friends Death

A Hawaiian sea turtle pays his respects at a makeshift memorial for his dead turtle friend.

A large male honu known as "Kuhina" appears to be mourning over the death of a female honu named "Honey Girl". Kuhina crawled up to a beach memorial for "Honey Girl" and stayed for hours looking at her picture.

I cried when I saw this, very moving & a sense of peace that animals too feel emotions for one another. This is definitely a life lesson for us all...
