Miss Le Lalelei O Samoa Scholarship Pageant 2008

Las Vegas 9th Islander Chellie Ann Nohea Evans is set to compete in the Miss Le Lalelei O Samoa Scholarship Pageant. The pageant will take place at the Farrington High School Auditorium on Aug. 15th, 2008, at 7pm (HST).

Chellie was born on the island of Oahu and raised in Nanakuli before relocating to Las Vegas in 2002. She graduated from Durango High School in 2006. Chellie is currently pursing her college degree at the University of Hawaii at Leeward Community College.

I know I am a little late, but I am so grateful for this entire experience. I am eternally grateful to those who've put their time and efforts into making this possible for me. Although I did not take home the crown, I took home with me knowledge of my culture and new friends. This opportunity provided me with means to pay for a semester a school w/ books included.
