NFL Pro Bowl Leaving Hawaii

One of Hawaii's biggest events may be a thing of the past, leaving just a memory. There is a strong possibility that the NFL Pro Bowl could leave the Aloha State. What has become an NFL "tradition" would end if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell gets his way.

Commissioner Goodell has expressed interest in moving the Pro Bowl to the same site as the Super Bowl. Plans are for the Pro Bowl to be played during the empty weekend between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. All-star players whose team makes the Super Bowl would more than likely not play in the Pro Bowl for the obvious reason that it would be played one week before the big game.

Most NFL players, fans and (of course) the State of Hawaii are against the move. Players love visiting the Islands of Hawaii after the long hard football season. Huge revenue lost would greatly impact the island of Oahu and the State of Hawaii if the move becomes reality.

Simply put, this would be a bad move on the NFL's part! Hawaii, football fans, and NFL players would certainly have a lost while the only gain would be in the NFL's and commissioner Roger Goodell's pocket book.

I live in Vegas now, and don't get to go down to Pro Bowl, however I do not agree with NFL's potential move of the Pro Bowl site! Someone should start a petition.

This is just another greedy display of how the NFL Commission wants to control the money and the sport. Did they ever consider that they charge so f....in much already to go to the superbowl, that the players and the fans see the probowl in Hawaii as the last hurrrah of the season, where even if your team loses, they don't really lose because they're in H-A-W-A-I-I. You don't share the game with Hawaiians, we share Hawaii wit you. You bettah learn dis.
