BJ Penn, UFC Lightweight Champion!

BJ "The Prodigy" Penn wins the UFC Lightweight Belt with a rear-naked choke causing Joe Stevenson to tap out in the second round of the title fight. Penn was a man of his own words "BE FIRST". Penn immediately attacked Joe Stevenson taking him down to the ground within seconds of the opening bell.
Penn established dominancy of the first round by taking control with his ground & pound game. A glancing elbow to Stevenson's forehead opened a huge and nasty cut. Stevenson, although clearly beaten up was able to survive the first round. Stevenson was able to get a couple of clean shots to Penn in the second round, but it was short lived as Penn again gained control on the ground and set up the rear-naked choke.
The Wainaku - Hilo boy & MMA superstar BJ Penn became only the second fighter ever in UFC history to capture two World Championship Titles in two different weight classes, welter weight (170lbs) and lightweight (155lbs).
After receiving the lightweight belt, BJ Penn called out former champion Sean Sherk and displayed his disapproval of Sherk with a simple yet direct "Sherk, you're dead". Sherk was stripped of the lightweight title because of steroid use.
In a middle weight match, Maui boy and Las Vegas resident Kendall Grove came up short getting knocked out with repeated blows in the first round by Jorge Rivera.
